The Faltas Lab studies how cancers evolve β and how to intercept them.
The team combines patient-derived models, computational approaches, and translational biology to understand tumor diversification, therapy resistance, and metastasis.

- APOBEC3 mutagenesis & RNA editing
- Extrachromosomal DNA & drug resistance
- Noncoding genome in tumor evolution
- AI-driven Bio-Digital Avatars
- Translational drug development
The lab utilizes:
- Patient-derived organoids
- Advanced mouse models
- Computational biology approaches
Recent high-impact publications include work featured in Nature (2024).
π Who Should Apply?
Motivated scientists with:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field
- Strong mechanistic understanding of biology
- Solid publication record
- Bench skills (cloning, western blotting, qPCR, cell culture)
Plus (not required):
- Mouse model experience
- Computational skills (R/Python)
