Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) is inviting applications from highly motivated and eligible candidates for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under the mentorship of Dr. Deepa Mudgal (Principal Investigator), Dr. Ratnesh Kumar Raj Singh and Dr. Priyankar Dey (Co-Principal Investigators).
๐ฌ Project Title
โDevelopment of Antithrombogenic PICC Line Materials to Mitigate Catheter-Induced Thrombosis in Cancer Patientsโ
The selected candidate will work on the development and evaluation of antithrombogenic PICC line materials, with a focus on understanding material properties and surface characteristics relevant to reducing catheter-induced thrombosis in cancer patients.
๐ฏ What You’ll Work On
๐งช Antithrombogenic PICC Line Materials
Conduct research focused on the development of materials for PICC lines designed to mitigate catheter-induced thrombosis.
๐ฌ Material & Surface Characterization
Investigate material properties and surface characteristics relevant to thrombosis prevention and mitigation.
โ๏ธ Experimental Research
Carry out experimental work related to the development, testing, and evaluation of PICC line materials.
๐ Data Analysis
Analyze and interpret experimental results while maintaining proper research records and documentation.
๐ Research & Publications
Prepare technical reports and contribute to research publications and scientific presentations.
๐ Eligibility & Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- M.Tech./M.E./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a valid GATE/UGC-NET score.
- The selected candidate may also have the opportunity to enroll in a Ph.D. programme, subject to fulfilling the institute’s eligibility criteria and admission requirements.
๐ฐ Fellowship / Emoluments
- With GATE/UGC-NET: โน45,000 per month
- Without GATE/UGC-NET: โน30,000 per month
