Aravind Hospital is HIRING – PROJECT ASSISTANT (GENETICS)

Project Name – Aravind Registry for Inherited Diseases of Eye Organization – Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore

Qualifications: B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech/M.Tech in Genetic Engineering / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics.

Required Skills:

• In depth knowledge in Genetics
• Ability to provide genetic counselling and recruit participants for research
• Ability to communicate clearly in Tamil, Malayalam, or English (if required).
• Perform DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and other molecular biology techniques.
• Ability to analyze and interpret genetic data using bioinformatics tools
• Strong skills in maintaining lab notebooks, preparing reports, and adhering to SOPs.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.

Other Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) workflows
• Knowledge of CRISPR-based experiments or gene-editing protocols.
• Awareness of ethical guidelines in genetic research

Languages: Tamil / Malayalam proficiency is required.
