The TIFAC-CORE in Agro & Industrial Biotechnology (CORE) at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Professor (Research). This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong academic and research background in Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Botany, and related disciplines.
Candidates with proven hands-on experience in Plant Tissue Culture and Culture Development will be given preference.
🔬 What You’ll Work On
Plant Biotechnology Research
Conduct research in Plant Biotechnology and contribute to innovative research activities within the TIFAC-CORE in Agro & Industrial Biotechnology.
Plant Tissue Culture
Apply hands-on expertise in plant tissue culture techniques and support the development and optimization of plant-based research systems.
Culture Development
Work on culture development and optimization, contributing to research projects in agro and industrial biotechnology.
Research & Publications
Conduct high-quality research and contribute to scientific publications and research outputs.
Academic Collaboration
Work closely with researchers from TIET and international research institutions and contribute to interdisciplinary research activities.
Teaching & Academic Development
Participate in academic activities and benefit from pedagogical training and professional development aligned with international standards.
🎯 Ideal Candidates
You hold a B.Sc./B.Tech. and M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Botany, or a related field, along with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology or an allied subject.
You have a good publication record demonstrating your research capabilities.
Candidates with a Ph.D. from TIET are also eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to candidates with proven hands-on experience in Plant Tissue Culture and Culture Development.
Candidates with strong research potential and an interest in Agro & Industrial Biotechnology are encouraged to apply.
