The Penter Lab at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join an exciting research project focused on the discovery and characterization of leukemia-specific T-cell receptors (TCRs).
The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of cancer immunology, single-cell research, immunogenomics, bioinformatics, and immunotherapy.
The position comes with guaranteed funding for three years through the German José Carreras Leukemia Foundation.

🔬 What You’ll Work On
Leukemia TCR Discovery
The PhD project will utilize advanced single-cell immunomics approaches to identify and characterize leukemia-specific T-cell receptors (TCRs).
The research aims to discover promising TCR candidates that could contribute to the development of future immunotherapeutic strategies for leukemia.
Single-Cell Immunomics
Apply cutting-edge single-cell approaches to investigate immune responses and identify T-cell populations relevant to leukemia.
Research activities will involve the analysis and interpretation of complex single-cell immunological datasets.
Immunogenomics Data Analysis
Analyze large-scale immunogenomics datasets, including data generated through approaches such as:
- Whole-exome sequencing
- Single-cell analysis
- T-cell receptor analysis
- Genomic and immunological profiling
TCR Identification & Characterization
Identify T-cell receptors capable of recognizing leukemia-associated targets.
