Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is seeking a motivated computational biologist / bioinformatician for a postdoctoral position within the ImmunoPreCept Cluster of Excellence.
The position focuses on proteomics and complex biological data, offering an opportunity to develop innovative computational and quantitative approaches for extracting biological information from complex mass spectrometry-based proteomics datasets.
The successful candidate will work with unique large-scale datasets, including microbial communities, gut microbiomes, patient cohorts, and yeast libraries, while collaborating closely with mass spectrometry experts, experimental scientists, and clinicians.
🔬 What You’ll Work On
Large-Scale Proteomics Data Analysis
Generate and systematically analyse large-scale proteomic datasets as part of a collaborative and interdisciplinary research effort.
The research will focus on understanding proteomic variation and extracting meaningful biological information from complex, high-dimensional datasets.
Statistical & Quantitative Method Development
Develop and apply statistical and quantitative approaches to analyse complex biological datasets and extract biologically meaningful insights.
The role offers significant opportunities for developing innovative computational methods for high-dimensional biological data.
Complex Mass Spectrometry Datasets
Work with cutting-edge mass spectrometry technologies and investigate how experimental design, sample complexity, instrument acquisition, and data-processing strategies influence quantitative proteomics data.
Multi-Omics & Biological Data Integration
Integrate proteomics data with other biological datasets, including genomics data and clinical information, to gain a deeper understanding of complex biological systems.

The successful postdoctoral researcher will be expected to:
