ICAR–Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CMFRI) is inviting applications for the position of Young Professional-I (YP-I) under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) scheme. This temporary project-based opportunity is ideal for candidates interested in aquaculture, marine fisheries, seaweed farming, and biological sciences, with the chance to work in the unique marine ecosystem of Lakshadweep.
🔬 What You’ll Work On
Aquaculture & Marine Fisheries Research
Assist in research activities related to aquaculture, marine fisheries, and sustainable fisheries development under the TSP project.
Seaweed Farming Support
Participate in seaweed farming initiatives, field activities, and technology demonstration programs aimed at improving coastal livelihoods.
Field Research & Data Collection
Support field surveys, sample collection, biological observations, and data recording related to marine resources.
Scientific Documentation
Maintain research records, field data, project documentation, and technical reports as required by the institute.
Project Implementation
Assist scientists in executing project activities, community outreach programs, and other research-related assignments under the Tribal Sub Plan.
🎯 Ideal Candidates
You hold a B.F.Sc. or B.Sc. in Aquaculture or an equivalent branch of Biological Sciences from a recognized institution.
Experience in marine fisheries, seaweed farming, or aquaculture will be preferred.
Candidates with swimming skills will be given additional preference.
Applicants should be 21–45 years of age.
