🔬 About the Opportunity

The TB Research Group at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad is inviting applications for highly motivated, resilient, and self-driven research interns to work on Mycobacterium tuberculosis—one of the most complex pathogens known for long-term persistence and immune evasion.

This internship offers exposure to high-rigor, frontier research in tuberculosis biology.

🧪 Research Areas

Host–pathogen interactions
Mycobacterial genetics & mutagenesis
Omics (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics)
Biochemistry & lipidomics
Molecular microbiology
Immunology

🎓 Preferred Background

Master’s students in Biochemistry / Microbiology (highly preferred)
Students graduating in 2025 or 2026 only
Strong hands-on bench experience in any of the listed areas is essential
Only apply if you have precision and prior lab skills

🎓 PhD Pathway (Optional)

Candidates aiming for the BITS Pilani PhD Program (August 2026 cycle) must:

Hold a national fellowship (CSIR-UGC, PMRF, ICMR, DBT, DST-INSPIRE), OR
Clear the BITS Pilani PhD entrance exam & interview
