🔬 About the Opportunity
The TB Research Group at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad is inviting applications for highly motivated, resilient, and self-driven research interns to work on Mycobacterium tuberculosis—one of the most complex pathogens known for long-term persistence and immune evasion.
This internship offers exposure to high-rigor, frontier research in tuberculosis biology.
🧪 Research Areas
- Host–pathogen interactions
- Mycobacterial genetics & mutagenesis
- Omics (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics)
- Biochemistry & lipidomics
- Molecular microbiology
- Immunology
🎓 Preferred Background
- Master’s students in Biochemistry / Microbiology (highly preferred)
- Students graduating in 2025 or 2026 only
- Strong hands-on bench experience in any of the listed areas is essential
- Only apply if you have precision and prior lab skills
🎓 PhD Pathway (Optional)
Candidates aiming for the BITS Pilani PhD Program (August 2026 cycle) must:
- Hold a national fellowship (CSIR-UGC, PMRF, ICMR, DBT, DST-INSPIRE), OR
- Clear the BITS Pilani PhD entrance exam & interview
