The Chung Lab at the University of Southern California (USC) is welcoming applications from motivated postdoctoral researchers and research technicians interested in pursuing research in nanomedicine, biomaterials, gene delivery, and drug delivery.
The laboratory is part of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience, providing opportunities to work collaboratively with faculty members and a broad network of senior and junior research and clinical collaborators.
🔬 What You’ll Work On
Nanomedicine Research
Conduct interdisciplinary research focused on nanomedicine and the development of advanced biomedical technologies for healthcare applications.
Biomaterials
Work on the design, development, and evaluation of biomaterials for biomedical and therapeutic applications.
Gene Delivery
Contribute to research involving gene delivery technologies and approaches for delivering therapeutic genetic materials.
Drug Delivery
Investigate innovative drug delivery systems designed to improve therapeutic effectiveness and delivery to target tissues or cells.
Cell Culture Research
Support laboratory research involving cell culture techniques and related experimental approaches.
Collaborative Research
Work closely with faculty, researchers, and clinical collaborators across biomedical engineering and related research areas.
🎯 Ideal Candidates
Candidates should hold a degree in one of the following or a closely related field:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Related Biomedical or Life Science disciplines
Applicants should be highly motivated, collaborative, and capable of working effectively with researchers from different backgrounds.
Experience in the following areas is preferred but not required:
- Nanomedicine
- Biomaterials
- Cell culture
- Animal research
- Gene delivery
- Drug delivery
