AIG Hospitals is hiring a Bioinformatician to join the Microbiome Therapeutics and Pill Lab within the IBD Department. This role focuses on microbiome data analysis, NGS pipelines, and computational biology to support cutting-edge microbiome research and clinical applications.
🔬 What You’ll Work On
- Analyze 16S rRNA and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) microbiome datasets.
- Develop and execute NGS bioinformatics pipelines.
- Perform statistical analysis and data visualization using R and/or Python.
- Handle and interpret large-scale omics datasets integrated with clinical metadata.
- Apply basic machine learning approaches for biological data analysis.
- Work with Linux/Unix environments and commonly used bioinformatics tools.
🎓 You’re a Good Fit If
- You hold an M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Bioinformatics (or equivalent).
- You have at least 1 year of hands-on experience in bioinformatics, microbiome analysis, genomics, or a related field.
- You are proficient in R and/or Python for bioinformatics analysis.
- You have experience with 16S rRNA/WGS data analysis and NGS workflows.
- You are familiar with Linux/Unix systems and computational biology tools.
