Libera Bio, a Spanish preclinical-stage biopharma company and spin-off of the University of Santiago de Compostela, is seeking a motivated Research Scientist (PhD) to join its multidisciplinary team working on precision nanomedicines for next-generation biologics.
The researcher will work with Libera Bio’s proprietary MPN Technology® platform, developing nanotechnology-based biologics for cancer and other serious diseases.
🔬 What You’ll Work On
Nanomedicine & Drug Delivery
The Research Scientist will contribute to R&D activities involving the development and optimization of nanotechnology-based biologics.
Key activities will include:
- Pre-formulation and formulation development.
- Characterization of nanotechnology-based biologics.
- Analytical testing and method development.
- Scale-up of formulations and processes.
- Development and optimization of nanomedicine platforms.
- Experimental evaluation of pharmaceutical products.
🧪 Preclinical Research
The researcher will contribute to the planning and interpretation of preclinical studies, including:
- In vitro evaluations.
- In vivo studies.
- Experimental design and interpretation.
- Analysis of preclinical data.
- Support for R&D programs and decision-making.
📊 Data Analysis & Scientific Communication
The position will also involve:
- Analysis and interpretation of experimental data.
- Preparation of scientific reports.
- Presentation of research findings.
- Contribution to scientific publications.
- Contribution to patent-related activities.
🎯 Ideal Candidates
Applicants should have a PhD in life sciences or a related discipline and practical experience relevant to pharmaceutical formulation, nanotechnology, or drug delivery.
Candidates should possess:
- A PhD in Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Strong experience in formulation technologies and/or nanotechnology-based drug delivery platforms.
- Experience with pharmaceutical formulations and biologics.
- Experience in experimental research and laboratory techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong scientific communication and organizational skills.
