🔬 Research Areas & Technical Focus
Research in the lab centers on how neuropeptides shape neural circuit function and drive behavior. Projects will heavily utilize cutting-edge systems neuroscience techniques, including:
- Neuropixels Recordings: High-density in-vivo electrophysiology to map brain activity.
- Calcium Imaging: Monitoring real-time cellular activity within neural circuits.
- Optogenetics: Precise optical control of neural populations to establish causal links to behavior and psychiatric conditions.
🎓 Eligibility
Required Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. (or nearing completion) in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Bioengineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong background in systems neuroscience and experimental design.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior hands-on experience with in-vivo imaging (calcium imaging), high-yield electrophysiology (Neuropixels), or optogenetics.
- Proficiency in data analysis and programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for handling large-scale neural datasets.
