LAXAI Life Sciences is inviting applications from experienced professionals to join its Biology Department. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge drug discovery programs by leading assay development, data analysis, scientific strategy, and cross-functional research collaborations in a dynamic R&D environment.
🔬 What You’ll Work On
- Design and develop biochemical and cell-based assays including Luminescence, TR-FRET, AlphaScreen, and SPR assays.
- Perform hit triage, confirmation, counter-screens, and mechanistic assays to support drug discovery and lead optimization.
- Analyze experimental data using GraphPad Prism, Excel, and Spotfire to generate actionable scientific insights.
- Support SAR (Structure–Activity Relationship) decisions and medicinal chemistry strategies.
- Lead and mentor a team of 2–4 Research Associates, managing timelines and project milestones.
- Collaborate with Medicinal Chemistry and DMPK teams on screening strategies.
- Implement advanced technologies including Organoids, iPSC, and CRISPR-based assays.
- Coordinate with CROs for assay transfer and specialized screening projects.
🎓 You’re a Good Fit If
- You hold an M.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- You have 6–8 years of experience in assay development and drug discovery research.
- You possess expertise in biochemical and cell-based assay development.
- You have experience in scientific data analysis, project management, and team leadership.
- You enjoy working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment.
