🔬 About the Program
The AMGEN Scholars Asia Program at NUS offers undergraduate students a fully funded, intensive research experience under world-class faculty and laboratory staff. Scholars spend 8 weeks conducting research in cutting-edge labs and conclude the program with a regional research symposium in Tokyo.
This program provides a unique gateway to explore research careers and prepare for future Ph.D. pursuits.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be current undergraduate students who:
- Are enrolled in an Asia-based college/university awarding a bachelor’s degree in a relevant science discipline
- Have completed at least their first year
- Will not be graduating immediately after the program ends
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Have good English proficiency (approved tests accepted)
- Show a genuine interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in a science discipline
🎁 Program Support
Selected scholars will receive:
- Arranged accommodation
- Airfare travel grant up to SGD 1500
- Stipend of SGD 6000 for the 8-week program
- Visa application support (handled by NUS)
