Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, is inviting applications from suitable Indian citizens for the position of Project Associate-I under an ANRF-funded research project titled βDevelopment of Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy and Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy-based diagnostic strategies for probing exosomal cancer biomarkers.β The selected candidate will work in the laboratory of Dr. Debanjan Bhowmik, ScientistβC.
π¬ What You’ll Work On
Exosomal Cancer Biomarker Research
Contribute to research focused on identifying and probing exosomal cancer biomarkers for the development of advanced diagnostic strategies.
Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy
Support the development and application of Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS)-based approaches for studying biomolecular interactions and cancer-associated biomarkers.
Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy
Work with Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)-based approaches for sensitive detection and characterization of biomolecular signatures.
Molecular & Diagnostic Research
Participate in laboratory research aimed at developing innovative, sensitive, and potentially non-invasive diagnostic strategies for cancer biomarker detection.
Scientific Research & Documentation
Assist with experimental work, data collection and analysis, laboratory documentation, and other research activities associated with the ANRF-funded project.
π― Ideal Candidates
You hold a Masterβs degree in any of the following or related disciplines:
- Chemistry
- Biochemistry
- Physics
- Optics
- Material Science
- Biotechnology
- Biology
You have qualified one of the following examinations/fellowships:
- CSIR-UGC NET, including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship)
- GATE
- DBT-BET
- ICMR Entrance Examination
- Approved DST-INSPIRE Fellowship
- Other eligible National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies and their institutions.
You are interested in interdisciplinary research involving spectroscopy, biotechnology, cancer biomarkers, molecular diagnostics, and biophysical techniques.
