The Department of Microbiology at the Central University of Haryana is inviting applications for a Project Fellow position under a Haryana State Higher Education Council-sponsored research project titled “Development of Postbiotic Quantum Dot Based Food-Grade Polymers for Active Packaging Films for Perishable Foods.” This temporary research position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in food technology, microbiology, biotechnology, and materials research.
🔬 What You’ll Work On
Active Food Packaging Research
Contribute to the development of postbiotic quantum dot-based food-grade polymers for active packaging films designed to enhance the shelf life of perishable foods.
Microbiology & Biotechnology
Apply microbiology and biotechnology techniques to evaluate food-grade materials and their applications in food preservation.
Food Science & Materials Research
Assist in developing innovative polymer-based packaging systems for improving food safety and quality.
Laboratory Research
Perform laboratory experiments, data collection, documentation, and analysis under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
Collaborative Research
Work as part of a multidisciplinary research team and contribute to project objectives and scientific outcomes.
🎯 Ideal Candidates
You hold a Postgraduate degree (M.Sc.) with at least 60% marks in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or Food Science & Technology.
OR
You hold an M.Tech. or M.Sc. (Ag.) in a relevant discipline with at least 60% marks.
Candidates with research experience in Microbiology, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or NET/GATE qualification will be preferred.
